This waterproof Lantern has an over-sized reflector and super-bright Krypton bulb that provides greater light output. This lantern also features a circuit breaking mechanism, a glove-sized handle, switch guard and spare bulb holder. Can be powered by an Alkaline 6-volt battery. 50,000 beam candlepower. The work safe I series lantern has been designed specifically for use in Division 1 hazardous locations. A Division 1 hazardous location is one where ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, vapors or liquids can exist ALL OF THE TIME or some of the time under normal operating conditions. Each light has been individually tested and certified for use in various Division 1 locations.
